Education Law

Education is governed by a body of law created by the State Board of Education and the State Board of Higher Education. These institutions regulate the educational process, tenure and labor relations, as well as academic and student affairs. DiFrancesco, Bateman, Coley, Yospin, Kunzman, Davis & Lehrer, P.C. has extensive experience with issues related to teachers and students, the Open Public Meetings Act, contract bid negotiations, reviewing and drafting of contracts, special education matters, preparation of bid documents and the presentation of seminars to school staff members regarding relevant issues.

We are also well versed in representing school boards. We are a member of the New Jersey School Boards Association, the New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the New Jersey Association of School Attorneys. We are counsel to the Somerset County Interactive Network, Inc. and the New Jersey Association of Interactive Networks. In addition, our firm has represented school boards, private clients and municipalities in special education matters and budget issues.
